Being a child star has to be one of the toughest things a kid can go through! All the fame, all the fortune — how are you supposed to lead a normal life??

Former Full House star Candace Cameron Bure made it through, but not without her own set of struggles… including bulimia. As if you don't remember, she played the oldest of the three kids, D.J. Tanner.

Now she's 37 and opening up about it all! She's being outspoken in both interviews AND she has a new book out called Balancing It All.

Talking about the pain she endured, she revealed:

"[It's] about the emotional struggle that I had in dealing with just a totally new life."

Meaning, her marriage to professional hockey player Valeri Bure. She was 20 and straight up moved to Canada for him!

She continued:

"That really was the time of identifying with being an actress and that being my whole life, and then now being someone's wife and moving to a new city, a new country even. I turned to food for comfort and had to find a different source, because clearly it wasn't a healthy way to deal with things. So that's really when my faith was kicked up a notch and sought comfort in my relationship with God — and not with food."

Whatever helps, helps! It doesn't matter HOW she able to move past the struggles, we're just glad she did — and did in a healthy way!

We're sure her book is FILLED with insightful things, especially reflecting back to the wild life she's had! We can't wait to read it!
