Well done, Morton’s Steakhouse!
The fancy-schmancy red meat restaurant was where Robert Chambers, a Tennessee TV host and current cancer patient, decided to hold his Christmas party this year.
But at the end of his and his 14 employees’ holiday meal, Robert got very cold, a common side effect from his chemotherapy treatment.
Management at the upscale eatery told Chambers to remove his cap, even after being explained the situation! Robert described how the incident went from bad to worse, saying:
"So I'm sitting there at the table, freezing and I put my toboggan on. We're two or three minutes away from walking out and the manager comes up behind me and says, 'Would you please take that off in the dining room.' I said, ‘Sure.’”
Robert immediately took his hat off but other members of his party were not pleased with the restaurant’s insensitivity and complained on the spot!
One manager even had the audacity to tell them that Robert should have brought a doctor’s note if he wanted to wear his beanie inside the restaurant!
Double friggin’ eye roll!!!
And to overcook this already RIDICULOUS situation, the Morton’s manager then flagged down a passing patrol car and asked police to escort Robert and his guests out of the restaurant!
Our eyes can’t even take it anymore! Ugh!
Several of Chambers’ employees wrote their disgust at this treatment on Yelp, remarking that they will never EVER return to the restaurant!
And in case you were wondering, their bill that night totaled $2,000!
We think it’s safe to say you just lost a whole lot more than 14 customers, Morton’s!
