It looks like Heather Mills is hanging up her ski poles for good!
The British Paralympic Association released a statement on the issue, saying:
"Occasionally in sport equipment issues arise, especially with adaptive equipment and the interpretation of the rules in relation to its use. Therefore we are all saddened that she has decided to retire at this stage, rather than working with BDST and IPC Skiing to resolve the issue. Heather has shown determination and made great progress over the past few months and is to be commended for the success she's had in her skiing career."
For those of you who have already forgotten, the whole thing began when Heather started using a new prosthetic that wasn't approved by Paralympic Committee. When they broke the news to her, the situation escalated when she allegedly began shoving and yelling at an official named Sylvana Mestre!
As a result, the committee revoked her application for the upcoming winter games, and it looks like she might now bet stepping away from skiing for good!
Talk about an ugly ending to a promising career!
