Move over Blue Magic! There’s a new heroin in town!
It turns out that heroin is pretty hard to get ahold of in Massachusetts, so they named it after something else that’s hard to get: Obamacare!
Last Friday, the Massachusetts State Police seized 1,250 individual bags o’ heroin from a vehicle that was involved in a routine traffic stop.
Troopers Joe Petty and Dave Stucenski pulled over a car for several violations in the town of Hatfield. They “found evidence of illegal narcotics,” according to the PD, and got help from their K9 friend Frankie to sniff the drugs out.
The baggies were labeled with ‘Obamacare’ stamps, and there were also some with ‘Kurt Cobain’ stamped on them (below).
As if this story wasn't inappropriate already!
The driver, 23-year-old Tyler Robenstein of Vermont, was charged with trafficking, conspiracy to violate drug laws, speeding, possession to distribute a Class A substance, driving without a license, and not changing lanes for an emergency vehicle. Eeeps!
And the three passengers weren’t getting away scott free!
Fellow Vermont native 21-year-old Ashley Beaulieu, and New Jersey residents 22-year-old Marquese Jones and 24-year-old Sherod Green, were all charged with trafficking heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws, as well as possession to distribute a Class A substance.
The more of this junk that’s off the streets the better!
Good work by the Massachusetts PD!
