This past season, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig gained a bit of a reputation for his exciting yet reckless play on the field!
Well it appears his behavior is pretty much the same off the field, especially when he's behind the wheel!
The 23-year-old rookie sensation was arrested in Collier County, Florida this weekend when officers caught him driving 110 mph in a 70 mph zone!
This isn't the first time Yasiel has gotten into trouble for reckless driving, and the Dodgers released a statement about the incident:
"We have spoken to Yasiel and made it clear that we, as an organization, are very disappointed in his recent behavior. This is a very serious issue to us and we will continue to educate him and strive to further develop his growth off the field and as a member of this community."
Translation: He will get a VERY stern talking to and a slap on the wrist, but that's about it!
Yasiel's reputation isn't ALL bad, as he's also known to do some charity work and has been active in the community, and he's still VERY young so there's plenty of time for him to turn things around!
Hopefully he learns his lesson before somebody gets hurt! And maybe he should stay off the road for the time being!
