He's going, going, GONE!!
Well, at least for now! Alex Rodriguez has officially been suspended for 162 games for his involvement in a huge PED scandal, and he'll be sitting out the entire 2014 season as well as any potential playoff games for the New York Yankees!
Believe it or not, the ruling is actually a reduction of his original 211 game suspension, which was announced last summer, however the Bronx Bomber continued to play through the season!
A-Rod is not surprisingly planning on challenging the ruling in court and has every intention of returning to the baseball field in the future.
In fact, due to a strange loophole he'll actually be able to attend the Yankees' spring training camp to prepare for the season in case he's able to have his suspension overturned.
Alex has been at war with the MLB for the past year due to his alleged role in the Biogenesis scandal, and it looks like the 38-year-old slugger might finally have to face the music! But on the bright side, now he'll finally have time to go on that vacation he's been wanting to take!
