Alex Rodriguez was recently handed a 162 game suspension and will miss the entire 2014 MLB season due to his ties to performance enhancing drugs! Unfortunately for him, the accusations don't stop there!
Tony Bosch, who claims to have been the one who provided A-Rod with PEDs, is largely considered to be the central figure who turned him in.
Well, in a recent interview he claimed that Alex attempted to bribe him by wiring $49,901.51 to his criminal attorney Susy Ribero-Ayala!
However, many were very quick to point out that the amount of money is oddly specific for a bribe.
In fact, according to documents shared by A-Rod's team, his attorney Roy Black sent the same exact amount of money to Alex just six days before the alleged bribe when down, meaning there's a good chance he simply got the wiring info mixed up.
This would actually make sense considering A-Rod WAS sending money to Tony's attorney to help cover his legal fees.
Whether or not Alex actually tried to bribe him seems a bit fishy at this point, however what we do know for sure is he can NOT get a break right now!
