dennis rodman checks into rehab after trip to north korea

After a bizarre year filled with plenty of strange and controversial behavior, Dennis Rodman has checked into rehab for alcohol.

The announcement comes just days after his most recent trip to North Korea, where he organized a basketball game for Kim Jong-Un's birthday.

Dennis has faced plenty of backlash for ignoring the violence happening in North Korea and was accused of being unsympathetic to U.S. prisoner Kenneth Bae in a recent interview.

The former basketballer released an apology for his comments and said he had been drinking during the time of the interview. He also ran into a bit of financial trouble lately as he reportedly owes $453,027.99 in unpaid taxes.

According to sources he checked into a rehabilitation center on Wednesday but it's not clear how long he'll be staying.

This definitely might explain some of Dennis' questionable behavior as of late, and hopefully he's able to get all of the help he needs.

After DOZENS of 12-Step religious AA/NA cult treatment programs, all 100% FAILURES, how about REAL MEDICAL TREATMENT for Rodman's issues?

Why didn't he check himself into a facility in North Korea? Rehab there may not be up to his standards but what the hell.
