Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn was heartbroken that she couldn't compete in this year's Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia. All of that training, all of that time — and it all goes away because of an injury.
We're not sure many people know how something like that could feel!
Luckily, Lindsey didn't have to go through it alone: she had beau Tiger Woods, and her momma there to support her!
"It's hard. I just want to be there but I can't. My mom had a stroke when she had me. She's never been able to ski with me. Her support has always meant a lot. Her toughness and positivity have always helped me get through challenges, especially with my injuries.
"She always sees the positives in everything. She always says, 'There's always tomorrow. There's always another race.' When you say it like that, it sounds really simple. It's not that simple. But she makes me feel like it's possible."
Finally, here's what Lindsey said about Tiger:
"He just reminds me to be patient, that everything is going to be fine. I really appreciate all the support he has given me. It makes a big difference."
So lucky to be surrounded by just who she needs!
At least we still get to see your pretty face during the Olympic coverage, Lindsey!
