Biggest Loser's Winner Rachel Frederickson Admits To Working Out FOUR Times A Day! Is That The Healthiest Thing To Do Though??

rachel frederickson reveal weight biggest loser

Nobody needs to work out 4 times a day — especially once they reach a healthy weight!!

Though, we get it: she was trying to win a contest. But that doesn't make it healthy and it doesn't excuse it!

Rachel Frederickson left The Biggest Loser Ranch three months ago, and returned an extra 45 pounds lighter than when she left, for a total of 155 lbs lost. Some people saw it as inspiration, some thought for sure she was going to extremes to lose the additional weight.

The latter might be closer to the truth because she works out FOUR TIMES a day.

She responded to the criticism, detailing her diet, but she stands by the idea that her routine is healthy, saying:

"First and foremost, my goals are to be healthy and strong. I'm an athlete. I've been an athlete since I was a little girl. And I went on The Biggest Loser journey to find that confidence that I lost."

Like we mentioned, that "confidence" resulted in taking in 1,600 calories a day via five small meals while following the advice of the show:

"I just continued to follow the support system that I had from The Biggest Loser's [diet] plan, Dr. Cheryl's nutritional advice and … continued to eat super healthy. Now I cannot be out of the kitchen. I have this zest for looking up recipes and trying them and adding new vegetables."

That's healthy, we suppose! But then she said she's been taking:

"… maybe three, four classes a day. I even went home over the holidays to Minnesota, and I went running outside."

Those classes are gym classes, meaning she was doing fitness four times a day!

Luckily, it really does sound like it was a push to win the game, because her future plan sounds healthy enough:

"This next part of my journey, as my body balances and, you know, it finds its rhythm. It's going to be about finding, maybe doing a yoga class this day, a gym class this day and I even, I think I'm going to try dance classes."

It's about a healthy and sustainable weight!

With a job, we would hope that nobody could put the time into working out four times a day — because it's not necessary!

We just want her to be happy AND healthy! A healthy routine that will last forever!

She went beyond any conest….she is the bravest (now gorgeous) woman ever! She has demonsrated that anything is conceivable (and doable) with willpower.

She looks great. Of course overweight people are going to have a problem with her now, she's basically showing how lazy they are and what they're capable of achieving, but too lazy to. Overweight people would rather make excuses for themselves and call other overweight folks beautiful than congratulate this beautiful young woman.

Man, I tweeted that she looks great, and I didn't understand why everyone was saying she looked anorexic, then all these people jumped on my ass for it. Even a nutritionist says she doesn't look malnourished! Her legs are a hell of a lot thicker than mine, so I think she looks good. She doesn't have her collar bones pertruding, nor that bone at the end of the shoulder. On anorexics, those are clearly visible (once they've dropped to underweight). I mean, this girl is 4 lbs. underweight for crying out loud! Leave her alone!

Re: Jessicalc – yes….she is super muscular and this is a good sign…if someone had showed me this body, I would have said 'this is Carrie Underwood'

She had a weight loss/fitness goal and wanted to win the money. She did.
    Worry about yourself.

People need to lay off her, it was a contest and she competed to win! I predict that her weight will even out at about 125 in a year or so, but she will remain FIT! GO GIRL!

how idiotic are people! Being healthy is not the same as being stick thin! You just can't have the same diet plan for your daily life as an average (or in this case, below average) size person as the one you had when you were losing weight. That's just not right.
