Paula Deen Reportedly Lands $75 Million "Comeback Deal!" Is The Public Ready Though??

$75 Million??

That's a whole lotta butter!

Paula Deen is really hoping it's time to get back into the spotlight — you know, because she was making a TON of money, and when you go through a major scandal you really don't make as much!

Well, that time could be upon us: she just got a cash infusion worth at least $75 million from a private investment firm.

'Private investment firm' sounds super shady when it comes to a TV personality! We don't know why!

She had her lawsuit dismissed, right? Right! But we guess that doesn't really change the fact that she admitted so saying some pretty awful things in the past, either!

We're just curious as to whether or not the public is ready to have her back! For $75 mil, it sounds like this 'investment firm' is banking on it!

Apparently she’s formed a new umbrella company for her restaurants, cookbooks, product endorsements and other media deals — and it has a super clever name:

Paula Deen Ventures!

Fine, it wasn't that clever, but the confidence seems to be there!

It seems possible that this could work!

We think it was a very wise man who once said:

life uh finds a way

I'm glad… people of ALL walks of life make mistakes and are forgiven; i.e., Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin, Melissa Harris-Perry, Kanye West, Bill Clinton… it seems that Paula's fatal mistake was being a so-called conservative. Perez, you seem to give many of the aforementioned a free pass… why not Paula?

It seems like America supports open racism vehemently, so I'm sure she will do well. It wasn't just her initial blatantly racist comments that were offensive, but then her excuses and explanations just made it even worse. She just kept digging herself deeper in the hole. It's sad that she gets so much love and support for hating people for the color of their skin. Especially when a lot of the "Southern" food she has made her fortune on originates from Black kitchens.

Americans seem to have pretty short memories. You can literally kill a person and people forget you did that in American in a very short amount of time. Plus with all the internal racial struggle that you guys have over there, I'm sure there are tons of citizens that wouldn't care if she was caught on tape telling black people to act like slaves.

Strange how celebrity obsessed society is but yet they fail to pick up on how things like this works. No one actually cares about minorities crying racism or homophobia or the fact they said something racist/homophobic.

Someone says something stupid, companies wait until things are settling down to announce they are dropping said person. They don't do it right away because they want free publicity. When it first begins all attention is on the person. Most of the time if they have contracts they still have to pay them anyways. So basically they wait, then announce it..Then when people forget about it a year or so later they pick them back up.
