New York-based comedienne Liza Dye faced a horrifying situation last week when she slipped and fell on a subway platform and was struck by a train!
Luckily, the 25-year-old survived the ordeal and has been in surprisingly good spirits as she continues to posts pictures and jokes to Twitter to keep her followers updated on her recovery!
Liza suffered major injuries to one of her legs and has already had two surgeries, but unfortunately the young comedienne, who's studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, does not have insurance to cover the medical bills.
So to help her out with the expenses, an online fund was set up with the goal of raising $50,000 for Liza!
Zach Braff caught wind of the sad news and decided to lend a helping hand by donating $9,999 along with the message:
"Keep making people laugh. Don't watch the season 2 opener of "House of Cards."
Those of you who watch House of Cards know exactly what he means. And those of you who haven't gotten around to it yet, well, you'll find out eventually!
So far, the site has earned nearly $30,000, but there's still a long ways to go before she reaches her goal!
We've been fortunate enough to meet Liza ourselves, and we hope she's able to make a full recovery and get back to doing what she does best. Making people laugh.
