It seems like it's every day that we hear that someone new has cancer, and it never ever gets easier.
Today, unfortunately, it's Jake "The Snake" Roberts — and at 58 years old, he has been found to have a cancerous growth behind his knee, which will require emergency surgery to remove it as fast as possible.
They found the growth last month, but didn't have a confirmation until last Friday that it's cancerous. It's also growing into his muscle.
The surgery is slated for tomorrow.
Here's what he said:
"If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease ’cause The Snake will be just fine."
Tough man exterior or not, he puts on a good show!
Cancer is always serious, but we do love that he's humble enough to ask the fans' prayers go to kids in similar or worse situations.
We hope everything goes just fine, Jake!
