Anyone with a pair of eyes can tell you it's pretty obvious that Liam Payne is the beefiest member of One Direction!
In fact, even their trainer previously said he's bulkier than the rest of his bandmates! But is the buff Brit getting his muscles the right way??
Liam's driving instructor Noel Gaughan recently spoke out about his eating and workout habits, and they weren't quite as healthy as we would have hoped! He revealed:
"When I was with him recently, he went all day on just coffee and KitKats – five days in a row. He said he didn’t want to feel full when he wasn’t exercising. That’s all he allowed himself. Liam’s got his own gym which he showed me around. It’s amazing. He even showed me his six pack – and when he hugged me I could really feel his muscles."
Yikes! For as much as we love to imagine ourselves feeling on Liam's buff bod, there's absolutely NOTHING healthy about a diet of just candy and coffee!!
Noel goes on to say that he thinks there's more to the equation than simply chasing the perfect bod, as he think Liam uses exercise as a release when it comes to stress:
"The intensity of life in the band seems to affect Liam more than the other boys, and going to the gym seems to be one of the only things that relaxes him. But we do sometimes fear he might get carried away – especially if he’s not eating properly."
Wow! Nothing about that sounds good to us at all!
Constantly touring and being in the spotlight definitely must take its toll on Liam and the rest of the boys, but we hope they have people around them who can make sure they're staying healthy and not doing anything that will hurt them down the road!
