Angelina Jolie To Have Another Life-Saving Surgery! And This Is The Group Of People Keeping Her Strong!

Angelina Jolie opened up about how it was her fans who helped her through her surgery!

Angelina Jolie is such an amazingly wonderful, strong woman!!

We can't imagine what courage it took to get a preventative double mastectomy.

We also can't imagine the strength it took to share her story in an incredibly public forum in the form of an op-ed in the New York Times.

She recently detailed how, even though she set out to help other women, it was those very women that helped her.

She revealed:

"I’m very happy I made the decision. I was very fortunate to have great doctors and very, very fortunate to have a good recovery and have a project like Unbroken to have something to be really focused on, to be getting healthy for, and to be able to just get right back to work.

I feel very, very close — much closer — to other women, and women who are going through the same thing. Wherever I go, usually I run into women and we talk about health issues, women’s issues, breast cancer, ovarian cancer. I’ve talked to men about their daughters’ and wives’ health. It makes me feel closer to other people who deal with the same things and have either lost their parents or are considering surgeries or wondering about their children. … The reason that I wrote it was to try to communicate and help and connect with other women and other families going through the same thing. And … I was very, very moved by all the support and kindness from so many people."

But, she also opened up about another health scare, revealing"

"There’s still another surgery to have, which I haven’t yet [Jolie is also genetically at risk for ovarian cancer, which is what took her mother’s life at age 56]. I’ll, you know, I’ll get advice from all these wonderful people who I’ve been talking to, to get through that next stage."

What a strong, strong woman. THIS is why Angie makes the perfect woman - for who she is inside and the courage she shows.

Way to help women everywhere!!

I don't get you sometimes… You write nice things about celebrities then the minute someone cheats or falls through the cracks you gossip about that too. I'd be afraid to be your friend. I couldn't do your job. No matter how much money made.

Re: Vanny – Why do you even come to these types of websites if you can't appreciate both the shit talking and the nice talking? It's not your church's website, bew bew. Deal with it or fuck off-

Yep, she needs a hysterectomy. The sooner the better. With six children, I doubt she's having anymore. I totally agree with what she has done since she has a direct gene linking her for this type of cancer. Good Luck to her!

I saw a video of her and Brad coming out of an event day before Oscars on Z-m-t - and they both were freaking glowing !! You can fake smiles and you can fake to paps that you are happy… but you can't fake that glow. It was amazing. They found their soul mates. How lucky are they !!

Now for the rest of the story: Regular people could never get their insurance to pay for the procedures that she was able to get. Preventative double mastectomies are not standard of care thus not covered. And minimal at best reconstructive options are offered. She is only brave cause she has the money to be brave. As a regular person she would have had to wait like the rest of us for the cancer to strike first. Just like what happened to her mother.

Re: Sue – So what's your point? That she should've waited to get cancer? Unbelievable negativity. She certainly didn't have to share her story the way she did, which benefited tons of people. I think she's an amazing person, and I wish her well.

Maybe Im such an ignorant but brave because she removed her boobs to have a new better big boobs? My mother had cancer and what it is the difference between having a "prevent" operation and a "reconstructive" one? I get the bla bla that she removed all her boobs but what's the point she hasa new bigger ones! She did not stayed without them

Angelina was scared and conned into making the choice to have a double Mastectomy by a cut happy and Publicity seeking Surgeon This Surgeon is a disgrace.

Re: Sue – I have thought exactly the same thing; a normal person couldn't do that unless they had a lot of money set aside. Getting a necessary mastectomy these days is going to be tough, even with insurance, due to the deductibles increasing and meds being more expensive. I don't blame her for doing this, but i don't see it as necessarily brave, I see it as fear of losing her life. Who in their right mind would be so vain to choose to keep their breasts and ovaries at the sake of their life, if they had a choice.

Having her tubes and ovaries removed is a piece of cake. It's laparoscopic surgery that takes about 1/2 an hour. Recovery time is minimal. I know because I had it done last May for preventative reasons. What a load it took off my mind. I live in Canada so it was covered by our OHIP so we do have that advantage.
