This is incredibly sad!
Last night, former President George H.W. Bush was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital after experiencing a shortness of breath.
According to spokesman Jim McGrath, George W. Bush's father:

She's speaking up!
And she's doing it to help others!
The lovely actress was diagnosed with asthma about ten years ago, and she's kept the information away from the public…until now! Not even just that, but she's also joined up with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America to help spread awareness!
"I actually was diagnosed ten years ago as an adult with asthma. Those people who know me, and some of my fans, know that I have an inner ear problem and a neck problem too and I was just like, 'Do I dare talk about having asthma as well?' I've re-thought it, and I was very honored to team up with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. The main focus is just bringing asthma awareness."
Part of that awareness is encouraging adults with asthma to always have a refill available — there might be a time when you need your inhaler, and you realize it's empty. Which has happened to Kristin! She said:
"When I was first diagnosed, they didn't have [dose counters] on the medication and sometimes you would reach for your inhaler and it would be out. So I encourage everyone who has asthma, and you know who you are, to tell your doctor that you want the dose counter."
She also asks all of those who suffer with asthma to always be on the look out for "shortness of breath" or "wheezing". She said:
"This is something that I'm actually proud to speak out about [because] I didn't know that two million Americans go to the E.R. every year for an asthma attack and these medications are here to help us."
We SO agree!
Good for Kristin Chenoweth for speaking out about this! It's something that affects SO many people, and yet not everyone has the full depth of knowledge about it that Kristin so obviously has!
Way to go lady!!!
