If you haven't already done so like the rest of us, prepare to fall in love with Prince Harry!
With the 2014 Sochi Paralympics kicking off tomorrow, the royal redhead decided to launch his own version of the inspirational event called The Invictus Games, which will be held for soldiers who were injured in battle!
Harry announced the tournament at the Copper Box in the Queen Elizabeth Park and said the idea came when he witnessed a similar event here in the U.S. called the Warrior Games, and he jokingly said he just HAD to steal it and bring it to the U.K.!
"I have witnessed first-hand how the power of sport can positively impact the lives of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women in their journey of recovery. The Invictus Games will focus on what they can achieve post-injury and celebrate their fighting spirit through an inclusive sporting competition that recognises the sacrifice they have made. I am extremely proud to be bringing an event like this to the UK for the first time and believe it can have a long-lasting impact on the well-being of those who have served their nations so bravely."
The Invictus Games will take place September 10th-14th and will consist of more than 300 soldiers from 13 countries competing in events such as wheelchair basketball, road cycling, swimming, and MANY more!
But Harry wasn't just there to just announce the games. He also hit the floor for a little game of sitting volleyball with some of his fellow soldiers!
This isn't the first time Harry has shown some love for veterans, as he recently made a trek all the way to the south pole with a group of wounded soldiers for charity!
Keep it up, Harry!
