Legal woes can be expensive!
Then again, this is what happens when you try and refuse letting a company use its own logo in its own ad, just because you're a part of it!
Chipotle originally had tapped Frank Ocean to sing a remake of Pure Imagination for their new ad, which was for the restaurant chain’s new video game app.
Frank got upset because Chipotle put their logo at the end for some reason, because reportedly he thought he'd get final say on an ad that wasn't even his!
LONG STORY SHORT, they sued him for the $212k they gave him in advance!
He wasn't going to have any of that legal bullshizz on his plate, so that's when Frank straight up cut them a check for the exact amount, and told them to EFF OFF! Seriously, it says that right at the bottom of the unedited check:
That'll do it, we suspect!
Now he can get back to making us the perfect follow-up album to Channel Orange!
