mcdonalds employees file lawsuit against company

Once again, McDonald's is finding itself making headlines for ALL of the wrong reasons!!

Employees from around the country have filed a total of seven lawsuits against the fast food corporation (one in New York, two in Michigan, and four in California) for wage theft!

Workers claim they've endured unlawful practices such as having hours shaved off of their time cards, not getting compensated for overtime, and not getting timely breaks throughout the day. There are a couple of unusual ones as well, like not getting paid until customers walk into the restaurant!

Michael Rubin, an attorney representing the California workers, spoke out about the lawsuit, saying:

"We've uncovered several unlawful schemes, but they all share a common purpose — to drive labor costs down by stealing wages from McDonald's workers."

If these claims turn out to be true, they would be clear violations of the Federal Labor Standards Act, which McDonald's has already violated more than 300 times since 1985!!

The fast food chain hasn't exactly had the best relationship with their employees over the past couple of years and recently came under fire when they suggested employees sign up for food stamps and sell their presents during the holidays!

We guess it might take a few super-sized lawsuits like these for McDonald's to learn to clean up their act!
