She swore she would someday dance again.

Now, nearly one year after losing her left leg during the Boston Marathon bombings, Adrianne Haslet-Davis is back on stage!

The 33-year-old professional dancer performed for the first time since sustaining her injury at Wednesday’s TED Conference in Vancouver.

Speaker Hugh Herr, a bionics designer and amputee himself, had just wrapped up his talk on the advancement being made in prosthetics. To prove just how far his industry had come, he surprised the audience by calling Adrianne out onto the stage!

She was wearing a new prosthetic, designed for her by Hugh!

Adrianne and her partner, Christian Lightner, then danced a rumba that ended with a roar of applause from the crowd!

AH-Mazing!

Afterwards, Adrianne explained just how special this moment was for her, saying:

"I'm thrilled to have danced again. I was always determined to dance again, and I knew that I had to, that I would, and here I am.”

Take a bow, girl!

We are SO happy to see you back doing what you love!
