New Yorkers take their sports very seriously.
So when Nick Cannon and the crew from America’s Got Talent stopped by Madison Square Garden in the middle of a Knicks game in order to shoot some promo video, the fans were NOT amused!
Prepare yourselves. Things are about to get SUPER awkward.
The crowd was asked to go along with a publicity stunt in which Nick would fake-make a full-court basket with a behind-the-back shot. Once the shot went throughout the hoop, everyone at MSG was instructed to, “go nuts.”
You realize what city you guys are in, right? You really think people from New York are going to dance like trained monkeys??
Uh uh. Not happenin'.
Instead, the ENTIRE Garden launched into a barrage of boos as Nick Cannon made his way onto the court!
And they did not stop!
Nick even tried to get them to quit their catcalls by telling the arena:
“I know, I know, I know. Get it out now! Boo! Keep going! Louder! Boo!Now that you all got that out of your system, let’s go.”
Oh no. The boos continued. Even louder!
It wasn’t until Nick and the crew left that the fans finally cheered as they were told to!
Aw, poor Nicky. Maybe next time he should come out with hometown hero Howard Stern or hottie Heidi Klum by his side.
Give the people what they want!
Ch-ch-check out the video below.
