When it comes to food and how it's labeled, it'd be nice to know we can believe everything we read is 100% true.
The FDA is now cracking down on honey to make sure labeling stays true!
They've announced that manufacturers can't call their product "honey" anymore if it contains any added sweeteners.
If they mix honey with sugar or corn syrup or any other sweetener they'll have to label it "blend of sugar and honey" or "blend of honey and corn syrup," so people know they're not being LIED to anymore!
The FDA is doing the entire country a service by trying to cut back on excess sugars in food.
We wonder what tricks food makers are going to use to try and get around this now.
We hope they just comply and label things properly.
Since our recommend sugar intake has been recently changed to impossibly low, we all need all the help we can get!
