This is incredibly sad!
Last night, former President George H.W. Bush was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital after experiencing a shortness of breath.
According to spokesman Jim McGrath, George W. Bush's father:

She hit it BIG in the 80s when she was just a teen and she’s still singing, dancing and touring today!
But it was after photos from her latest concert series were released that Debbie Gibson decided to share with the world that she suffers from lyme disease!
Her announcement comes after fans began to speculate about her weight and appearance. It was all due to the disorder but many people began spreading rumors that Gibson had an eating disorder!
"Some were just plain mean and ignorant.”
She finally decided to open up about her ongoing battle on her blog this week, writing:
"Last year, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. It is an elusive disease that disguises itself as many other things, and creates a lot of pain and discomfort.
For Debbie, the first symptoms came in the form of food sensitivities. She explained:
"I found I could not touch sugar, starch, caffeine, certain oils, etc. without having a severe reaction that felt like electricity running through my body.”
Next came nerve pain and muscle fatigue, which lead to her believing she might have mono. Her doctors tested her for nearly everything under the sun (except lyme disease) and were stumped.
Her symptoms worsened and her weight dropped more and more. Debbie tried her hardest to put on pounds, saying:
"I kept eating a ton of protein and fat to try to keep weight on … egg yolks, red meat, you name it. But the weight kept falling off and I had a gaunt and sinewy look.”
The final straw came when she began receiving Botox injections to try and smooth out the deep lines on her forehead caused by the illness. It did her more harm then good though.
"Five days after the treatment, I was texting my boyfriend and he noticed I was mixing up my words. I had trouble with directions and driving. I was terrified.”
Finally, she found a doctor who she describes as "Lyme-literate” who was able to recognize her symptoms and treat her for the disease. She’s now on an intense round of antibiotics and other meds.
And we’re happy to report these treatments are working!
Miz Gibson says she feels like things are returning back to normal.
"I actually feel like me again. We all face challenges and I am learning much from the ones I am facing. No disease in the body can keep the spirit from soaring, the love from pouring, and nothing can stop the music!”
Such good news!
We wish you a full recovery, girl! Get better soon!
