It’s fantastic how much support this event already has this year!

The Boston Marathon bombing was incredibly heartbreaking, but that city has shown just how strong it is, making this event a very popular one!

The perfect way to stick it to the terrorists!

And this year, more famous faces are getting involved, like Donnie Wahlberg’s brother Jim Wahlberg, as well as his New Kids On The Block bandmates Joey McIntyre and Danny Woods! The Blue Bloods actor recently talked about why it’s so important for him to support his guys, saying:

"We were all really affected last year. The [Blue Bloods] crew, who had all lived through 9-11, started coming over to me one by one, saying, 'There is something wrong in Boston, you should go call people.'… I can't even imagine how proud I'm going to feel standing there. I had a notion of running it myself but I decided to put my energy into supporting my brother [Jim], my bandmates [Joey and Danny], and all the other thousands and thousands of people running… I can't believe [Jim is] doing it. He spent his whole life running from the cops and now he is running the marathon… He is a hero to me right now."

Ha! Spoken like a true brother!

The whole point of a terrorist attack is to strike fear into people, but the support for this Patriots' Day marathon is as high as ever!

Good luck to everyone participating, and who knows, maybe we’ll even see Donnie out there next year!
