We love Taco Bell as much as the next Crunchwrap Supreme enthusiast, but we have to admit that sometimes we wish it was a tad more upscale!
You know, to ease the guilt of eating five $0.99 tacos!!
Well it looks like our prayers have been answered, as Yum Brand (Taco Bell's parent company) is rolling out a brand new restaurant called U.S. Taco Co. that puts a fancy spin on our favorite fast food taco joint!
The idea first came up when CEO Greg Creed realized there was a large number of customers who would be willing to put out more cash for better ingredients and a nicer atmosphere in the restaurant!
But instead of making the changes to already-existing Taco Bells, they decided to come up with a whole new restaurant!
U.S. Taco Co. seems like an obvious way to compete with other fast-casual restaurants such as Chipotle, however, their menu will offer interesting spins on tacos, such as a Philly cheesesteak-inspired taco, as well as french fries and milkshakes!
And if you'd like some booze to wash all of the tasty goodness down, a location opening in Los Angeles will offer tons of adult beverages, like a milkshake called the Mexican Car Bomb, which is made of vanilla ice cream, tequila caramel sauce, chocolate, and of course a nice Guinness stout to round it all off!
The first locations aren't set to open for another few months as construction is JUST beginning, but the tasty-sounding tacos already have us drooling!
And if the mouthwatering menu isn't enough to bring you in, maybe the Day of the Dead-inspired logo will! Because nothing says "YUM" like a Dia de los Muertos sugar skull!
