With injuries, emotional breakdowns, and personal issues at home, Dancing With The Stars contestants were pushed to their limits this week as we've gotten past the halfway point of the season!
However, with Ricky Martin sitting at the judges table for Latin night, each team definitely brought their A-game and things got MUY caliente!
But he wasn't the only guest for the evening, as Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis was also in the audience to– well, we honestly don't know why he was there! Let's just say we're happy he was just a spectator and NOT a guest judge!
Amy Purdy has been one of the top contestants of the season thus far and looked to get the night off to a strong start with Derek Hough! However, she revealed she was having a tough time pulling off a romantic rumba since her relationship has hit a few snags recently. Fortunately, Derek was able to cheer her up and the duo notched one of the highest scores of the night with a 36!
James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd added some fuel to the romance rumors swirling around when they didn't exactly deny that they were dating! It probably didn't help that they did a samba routine that was so sexy, James had a hard time believing they'd allow it on TV! The super steamy performance DEFINITELY rubbed the judges the right was as they earned a 35!
Danica McKellar faced a HUGE setback this week when she fractured one of her ribs while rehearsing with Val Chmerkovskiy! Luckily, she was able to fight through the pain and they were able to tweak their salsa routine a bit, but it definitely ended up costing them as the judges handed them a 33!
Strangley, NeNe Leakes was NOWHERE to be found during rehearsals this week! However, her alter ego, NayNay had no problem filling in for her and took the stage to pull off an Argentine tango with Tony Dovolani! Unfortunately, the judges weren't too impressed and gave them the lowest score of the night with a 31, and they were ultimately eliminated from the competition!
Charlie White was bitten by the competitive bug this week after watching his ice skating partner Meryl Davis earn a perfect score last week! So he was definitely looking to earn some 10s as he and Sharna Burgess prepared for their paso doble! Charlie's dreams of perfection will have to wait another week as he earned an impressive 36, however, he DID managed to get a 10 out of Ricky!
Candace Cameron Bure had a rough week emotionally as it was revealed she was having a tough time performing in front of the cameras during dress rehearsals. So Mark Ballas thought it would be a good idea for them to visit a sports psychologist to they could tackle some of the mental hurdles she's been facing! It definitely seemed to work as Candace bounced back from a lackluster night last week and earned a 35 for her tango!
Meryl set the bar incredibly high after she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy pulled off a perfect score for their amazing routine last week! Despite some bumps and bruises during rehearsals, Maks was able to unleash the olympian's sexy side and they pulled off yet another performance as their salsa was one point away from perfection thanks to Len Goodman!
After everyone performed their individual routines, the contestants were broken up into two group for a team dance! However, since Amy had to leave the show early due to injury, her team was NOT able to perform and they had to be judged based on the footage from their dress rehearsals! Well that's no fun!
Despite all of the drama and injuries, the contestants proved that they are still in it to win it and they wont let ANYTHING keep them from winning that Mirror Ball Trophy!
Ch-ch-check out the rest of the performances (below)!
