Barcelona Soccer Player Responds To Racist Fan By Eating The Banana Thrown At Him! Sparks An Incredible Anti-Racism Trend Among Players!

dani alves banana anti racism movement

This is just fantastic!

While America is going nuts about what to do with racist Donald Sterling, over in Europe, one man faced the issue head-on!

Barcelona defender Dani Alves had a banana thrown at him by an opposing fan during a game on Sunday, but instead of getting mad, he picked up the fruit and ate some of it. Then he played the game like normal.

When asked about it, Alves simply said:

"You need to take these situations with a dose of humor."

After the game, the team with the vile fan, Villarreal, apologized for the incident. But other professional soccer players took the moment to make a stand against rampant racism in soccer.

Players like Neymar and Mario Balotelli, along with others, have shared pictures of themselves eating bananas, with the slogan "We are all monkeys."

The best way to stop something is to take the power away, and that’s exactly what they’re doing!

And it’s been players from all countries and backgrounds that have gotten involved, showing that we really are all the same!

Take a peek at some of their snaps (below)!

Also, the soccer team has vanished for life from the stadium to the guy who did it.

He is Brazilian, and all sorts of celebrities here in Brazil have also been sharing photos of themselves eating bananas to support him

Latinos are the second largest ethnic group in the usa but the NBA teams are 78% black and 17% white.
When 78% of players come from a group that is only 14% of the population.. something is hugely wrong and racist (in my opinion). The NBA is being racially selective. Of course people will say "the reason most basketball players are black is because blacks are the best players" but isnt that a racially insensitivity comment itself? Isnt that like saying "the reason I hire mostly asians and jews is because they are the best thinkers?".

I find it kinda odd that a latino would address latino on black racism but ignore the exclusion of so many hispanic americans in the NBA teams.

Re: gold dig not shit dig – maybe you're right but, in some hispanic countries soccer is way more important and way more valued. An example is Mexico (my country). Everything in here is soccer. Most of the guys in here ambition to go to Europe and play soccer in one of those teams.
Maybe there is some type of racism that I may not know about; if that's the case then, that's just horrible and should be fixed.
And to answer your last sentence "I find it kinda odd that a latino would address latino on black racism…" Spaniard are not latinos. Latinos are people from any country in Latin America (born), including Brazil. After all I do recall Americans being racist to other Americans, that's odd as well

Re: gold dig not shit dig – Most of them are too short to be good pro players, also soccer is much more in their heritage than basketball.

It is now that we can see who are the real cry-baby (USA/NBA with no obvious racist fans) and adults with a certain maturity who are the FIFA players with racist fans.
