Vice President Joe Biden unveiled a star-studded PSA today during a White House event all about introducing new guidelines that should help college campuses curb sexual assaults.
During the event, Biden gave an impassioned speech, saying:
"We almost always ask the wrong questions when it comes to sexual assault. We continue to ask questions like 'What were you wearing? What did you say? What did you?' The real question is 'What made him think that he had the right to do what he did?' No means no, whenever it is stated."
Truer words have never been spoken.
We need to stop this culture of blaming the victim.
The new guidelines are supposed to help college administrators cut through the bureaucracy and take real action when dealing with rape.
Check out the PSA (below) and learn about how, when it comes to sexual assault, that even "1 is 2 Many."
