No wonder the people of Oregon have elected him as their governor three times!
John Kitzhaber is being credited with saving a woman’s life after he spotted her dying on the street — of what's being reported as a possible overdose!
Governor Kitzhaber was on his way to dinner Monday night when he saw someone trying to resuscitate a person lying on the ground.
The governor ordered his driver to stop and he jumped out of the vehicle and over to the victim! Kitzhaber, a former emergency room physician, then began performing CPR on the unidentified woman until EMTs arrived on the scene.
Paramedic Alan Ferschweiler described how heroic it was for the governor to step in and save this lady. He explained:
"It was pretty neat to see the governor back on and going back to work. He was surprisingly calm, and you could see he went right back to the days where he was an emergency room doctor. To go and assist the governor and take over this patient from him is pretty surprising. It definitely took us off-guard!”
This isn’t even the first time Governor Kitzhaber has saved someone’s life while in office either!
Four years ago, during a gubernatorial primary debate with Bill Bradbury, Kitzhaber ran from his podium to help a man who was having a seizure in the audience!
Sucks to be anyone running against this guy, huh? That’s like trying to win an election versus Superman!
No, like, srsly!
Because in 2005, the governor chased down an intruder at his Portland office and trapped him inside a revolving door at a bank! Kitzhaber has also administered emergency aid several times while at work at the state Capitol!
Who is this guy?!?
John Kitzhaber is currently running for his fourth term and we’d say it’s safe to say Oregonians have GOOD reason to re-elect this Democrat yet again!
Who knows. He just might save YOUR life someday!
