Hugh Jackman Uses His Wolverine Popularity To Send A Real Message About Cancer Prevention!

| Filed under: Film FlickersHugh JackmanHealthCancerAmazingGIFs

Hugh Jackman is so amazing! He's using his Wolverine persona to terrify people into getting screened for cancer! Way to go!

Hugh Jackman may be one of the healthiest looking people on the planet but he's still at risk for cancer, as is everyone.

We previously mentioned that Wolverine Hugh had to battle his greatest foe yet for a SECOND time: skin cancer! The revenge!

While at the New York premiere for his newest movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, he sported a bandage on his face and spoke about his cancer.

Asked how his face was doing, he replied, laughing his adorable laugh:

"My face? It's fine, it's good. Thank you for asking. I have a few stitches, I had a basal cell carcinoma taken out. Tell all your readers: get check ups, wear sunscreen. It's all about prevention. I figure for some people reading it, if Wolverine says it, it might be different than if your parent or wife or husband says it."

So, you all hear that??

Wolverine said you need to get check ups and wear sunscreen. It's almost summer so hopefully you're all stocked up on sunscreen anyway… right?!

You better be, or else you'll have Wolverine to answer to!

Way to be a great influence, Hugh!

He is right on, just got back from 9 days in Riviera Maya and the sun is fierce so I stayed in the shade a lot. Heck I grew up back in the day of Coppertone #4 was high SPF (except they did not call SPF then) or baby oil with iodine. Have been remarkably lucky to get off with as little damage as I have had.
People need to limit their full exposure to the sun and be more cautious these days.

I have created a new patent pending sun protection product called SunFlap because I have had skin cancer removed from my head also. Go to Yahoo and type in SunFlap and you can find it. How do I get a SunFlap to Hugh Jackman?
