Diane Keaton sat down with Dr. Oz this week where she gave an absolutely SHOCKING interview, and for once it had NOTHING to do with Woody Allen!
The Annie Hall actress spoke very openly about her struggles with bulimia in her 20s, and she revealed some jaw-dropping details on her eating disorder.
In fact she estimates she consumed as many as 20,000 calories of food PER DAY at some of her lowest points, as she reveals:
"Typical dinner was a bucket of chicken, several orders of fries with blue cheese and ketchup, a couple TV dinners, a quart of soda, pounds of candy, a whole cake, and three banana cream pies."
Diane went on to say she hid her eating disorder obsessively for four years before she was finally able to live a healthier lifestyle:
"I was an obese person who had somehow tricked myself and managed to hide it. When you're living a lie for four years think about what that does to that four years, it wipes out any growth at all whatsoever."
Luckily, Diane was able to see a therapist and get the help she needed to kick her addiction, and obviously the rest is history as she went on to have an AMAZING career!
Hopefully by sharing her story, other people out there, especially women, who struggle with eating disorders will see that they're not alone and they CAN overcome these diseases!
