Oscar Pistorius Forced To Undergo A Psychiatric Evaluation, Causing HUGE Delays In His Murder Trial!

| Filed under: Legal MattersMental HealthViolence

Oscar Pistorius will be forced to take psychiatric tests!

We're starting to wonder if this trial will EVER end!!

Just yesterday, prosecutor Gerrie Nel filed a motion asking that Oscar Pistorius be forced to undergo a 30-day psychiatric evaluation!

Well it looks like he got his wish as Judge Thokozile Masipa made her ruling today, saying the sprinter will go through the psychiatric tests!

While Oscar's attorney was originally opposed to the idea, his family had a different view on the evaluation, saying they were glad the legal system was being thorough before making their ruling.

His uncle Arnold Pistorius read a statement, saying:

"As a family, we are comforted by the thoroughness and detail of this judgment and Judge Masipa's commitment, using every avenue, to ensure a fair trial."

Judge Thokozile shared similar sentiments, saying it was very important to be as thorough as possible and make sure Oscar's evaluation is in the right hands!

That's great and all, but the big issue here is that they're making a trial that has already lasted longer than anticipated even longer! In fact, the evaluation process can add an entire two months to the trial!

The court will reconvene on Tuesday and decide all the details on scheduling the evaluation, but one thing we DO know is we're not going to get a ruling any time soon!

He is convicted of murder, it is already just insane that he has been walking freely ride after Reeva's murder and now throughout the trial. Shame on the south african judiciary system. He killed her deliberately, shame!
