Far Too Young: Former World's Heaviest Man, Manuel Uribe, Dies At 48

Manuel Uribe passed away at 48 years old on Monday!

This is so sad to hear.

48-year-old Manuel Uribe, the former record holder for world's heaviest man, died on Monday. His death was confirmed by health officials in his home of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Although doctors have not revealed the official cause of death, Manuel was reportedly taken to the hospital on May 2nd for an irregular heartbeat. Weighing in at approximately 867 pounds, he had to be taken to the hospital by a crane.

It is also believed he may have suffered from liver problems.

Manuel set the Guinness World Record for wold's heaviest man in 2006 when he weighed 1,230 pounds. Two years later he married his longtime girlfriend Claudia Solis.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Manuel's family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

    At least he found love, so he had some happiness in his life in spite of his condition. RIP
