This is incredibly sad!
Last night, former President George H.W. Bush was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital after experiencing a shortness of breath.
According to spokesman Jim McGrath, George W. Bush's father:

Most people who have a fear of heights have more than likely had a nightmare about getting caught in a broken elevator at one point or another!
31-year-old José Vergara Acevedo entered the elevator on the first floor of his building in Providencia, Chile, and surveillance cameras captured the whole ride on tape!
The footage shows the elevator beginning to rise before the doors even close! José then panics and scrambles to push as many buttons as possible, but all that does is open the doors!
The lift rose a total of 31 floors in a span of 15 seconds before it eventually crashed into the roof, where José suffered serious injuries to his legs and his head. The building where the horrific incident took place is merely 8 months old and is currently under investigation.
All we know is next time we think we'll be taking the stairs instead!
Ch-ch-check out the surveillance video (below)!
