The FIFA World Cup is already off to a running start, with the home team Brazil playing Croatia in game one on Thursday!
Fans all over the city couldn’t contain their excitement as their national team got ready to kick some ballz!
After that, things were tense, with announcers even sounding like the game had ended! But not if Neymar Jr. had anything to say about it! The 22-year old forward charged ahead and scored his first ever World Cup goal to tie the game!
Then, in what a lot of people are calling bad officiating, Brazil’s Fred, aka Frederico Chaves Guedes, flopped the mother of all flops, giving Neymar a penalty kick.
That goalie didn’t stand a chance!
And to tie a nice bow on the whole thing, with only minutes left, Brazil’s midfielder Oscar drove a nail in the coffin with his final goal, ending the game 3-1.
Then, Brazil partied like it’s 1999! You can see all of the emotion from both the fans and players (below)! It's incredible!
