Pippa Middleton is a big fan of bike riding, but we had no idea how much she liked it until recently.
She likes biking so much, she wants to bike 3,000 miles in under 9 days!! That's because that's how long she has to complete the Race Across America (RAAM)!
The RAAM is a 3,000-mile, 12-state bike race that Pippa is undertaking with her brother James, 27, and six other cyclists.
Pippa released a statement:
"On 14th June, my brother and I, along with six friends will be setting off on a West to East Coast Race Across America (RAAM). This relay cycling event spans 3,000 miles, 12 states and 88 counties. We are aiming to complete this non-stop challenge in eight days, riding between 350 and 500 miles a day."
Damn! That's a whole lotta biking!
Pippa, her bro, and the others are undertaking the challenge to benefit the British Heart Foundation, which Pippa is an ambassador for, and the Michael Matthews Foundation, a kids' charity named after the first Brit to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
Michael Matthews, 22, died on the way down from Everest and so his brother is one of the Pippa's teammates, cycling for his late brother's memory.
The race starts in Oceanside, California and ends in Annapolis, Maryland! They're already on their way, having passed through Congress, Arizona around noon on Sunday.
Way to go! We hope the rest of their ride is smooth!
