One Direction's Louis Tomlinson Charging A LOT For A Selfie! Star's Trying To Raise Money For His New Team!
That is a lot of cheddar for a photo!
But the club needs a lot of dough if it wants to compete with some of the other clubs arounds, and so Louis has taken it upon himself to try and use his fame to get some much needed money!
The 1D singer will be charging fans £250, which is over four hundred dollars, to take a picture with him before any matches!
But that isn't the only gimmick he'll be using to try and grab some cash!
He's also charging £200 to allow fans to be the mascot, have some try their luck at a free-kick halftime challenge for £300, and for only £12,000 you can watch his team from a VIP box!
Here's a quote from Louis from the fundraising's website. He said:
"For me, this is all about the football, the community and restoring the excitement and desire to making Doncaster Rovers the most exciting club to play for in Yorkshire… This is a big step which I believe will open up opportunities to provide a very, very exciting future for the club and its supporters."
Although this does seem a bit of an outlandish way to make money, the website says it's already reached 28 percent of its goal with 25 days to go! That means Louis has made his team about £554,441 of his £2,000,000 target!
Not bad at all!
He's definitely doing whatever it takes to make sure the team he loves gets to the top!
No matter what — you've kind of got to admire the music superstar for at least that! Even if his methods of doing so are a bit questionable!!
