Menu Explosion! Starbucks Raises Prices To Experiment With New Treats!

Well, we knew Starbucks wasn't raising their prices to pay for their employees' college tuitions.

But is THIS why the sudden increase? To fund experimental new menu items??

If so, we're pretty sure we approve. Though we may have to taste test each to be sure…

Starbucks has announced that they are adding a whole new subsection to their menu — handcrafted sodas!

The Fizzio artisanal sodas will come in three flavors: spiced root beer (with cinnamon and nutmeg), golden ginger ale (with citrus and brown sugar), and lemon ale (with ginger and apricot).

And if that doesn't have your mouth watering already, they'll also be adding shaken iced tea and three new cold-pressed juices: coconut water and greens, smooth greens, and organic sweet greens with ginger.

Some locations are even trying out a fruit smoothie!

With the fresh ingredients and the light sodas (each is less than 100 calories per 16 ounces), we're guessing this is part of a push to make Starbucks a little healthier and a little less known for fitting 700 calories into a coffee you can finish in 90 seconds. With whipped cream.

Darn it, now we're thirsty! LOLz!

On the rare occasions when I go to Starbucks I usually order their iced green tea with sugar. The Frappuchinos are good but I can get them a lot cheaper at the grocery store.

All the starbucks thing seems to me a bit too exagerated as a kind of Hype movement!
