When you think of iconic, A-list actors, getting up there in years, who love to crash parties… who do you think of?
If you said Bill Murray it'd certainly make sense because that's kinda his thing.
But when Warner Bros. emailed an apartment building in Brooklyn, saying their lead actor needed somewhere to watch the game because they were filming The Intern in the area, it wasn't for Bill Murray…
It was for Robert De Niro!!
"Our lead actor, Robert De Niro, would very much like to watch the World Cup game, today at 12pm. Would it be possible to place a small portable satellite on the building rooftop ASAP and run a cable to the street to help facilitate this request?"
That didn't end up happening and so Robert actually just joined a random World Cup viewing party!
A neighbor in the building said:
"We got another email from a neighbor saying he talked to the crew and apparently he found a house of people watching it and joined them."
Wow, that's so cool of him!
He loves his country so much he was willing to mingle with some of the local peasants!
Way to be a cool guy, Robert De Niro!
