Sharon Osbourne Opens Up About Weight Loss Surgery, And What She Says Might Make You Think Twice Before Having It!

Sharon Osbourne is NOT an advocate for weight loss surgery!

For those of you who are considering getting weight loss surgery, you might want to think twice!

Sharon Osbourne has gotten into great shape lately thanks to the Atkins diet! But before she started eating healthy, she opted for the gastric band surgery back in 1999 to help curb her appetite!

While Sharon saw some results from the weight-loss procedure, she recently revealed that she wasn't exactly a big fan of the surgery! She says:

"I felt [like] such a cheat when I had that band on my stomach, and people are saying, 'You look wonderful!' And I'd go, 'Thank you, I just have to leave and vomit.'"

Well that doesn't sound very good!

Sharon says she's now on a healthier path now with her diet, however, that doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy a nice cheat meal from time to time! She says:

"I'd be fibbing if I said I don't cheat. Because I do cheat. I cheat a lot on my diet. We all do."

There's nothing wrong with treating yourself every now and then!

We're so glad to hear Sharon is staying healthy, and for those of you who are considering surgery to lose a few pounds, you might want to think twice before going under the knife!

It is cool that Sharon has been able to lose weight. I have never used the Atkins diet. It is interesting to note that Sharon went for the Atkins diet. I don't know how many notable weight loss stories I have come across recently online. I think that there are testimonies that losing significant weight is possible. Nonetheless, something that may be noted is that keeping the weight off overtime is where the other part of the battle is at. In fact, I have read that a considerable proportion of people who lose weight end up gaining weight over the long term. Thus it seems clear to me that whatever plan a person is following, it should be one that is not too demanding or simply impossible to follow long term.

I share more about this subject on the page: specialfatloss.com

You may also find there a link to a video that introduced me to a reason why weight loss may be different for males and females. It was a phenomenon, I was not aware of.

One thing that we are shown is that healthy weight loss may lead a person to get a certain appearance. This being, it really seems that advantages may go beyond. I have read that losing weight may be beneficial for conditions like diabetes, painful knees, blood pressure and of course obesity.

With that being said, I don't believe that a diet should lead you to feel depressed because you should never eat delicious and lawful food again. Is there any benefit in a diet that may be impossible to follow long term?

I did Atkins a long time ago, lost 25 pounds but then gained it back. The only way I have lost weight is to be retired and living on a small fixed income, lost 55 pounds that way and it has never come back. Best of luck to her.
