Remember the most expensive Starbucks drink ever created from a while back? Well, it's just been dethroned.
A 23-year-old med. student named Sameera Raziuddin just trumped the last record holder with an order costing $60.58!
That's a lot of coffee!
Sameera used a combination of her Starbucks Gold card and a free drink coupon to get the 1.5 gallon concoction for free.
The previous record holder was Andrew Chifari, who racked up a $54.75 beverage in May.
Who knew ordering from Starbucks could be such a competition?!
With the price difference between Sameera and Andrew's orders only being $5.83, we wonder how long it will be until the next heir to the Starbucks throne overthrows the reigning champ?
Honestly, isn't this up to the discretion of the barista? Whether or not to fulfill the order in whatever container? Can't someone just say "do as much as you feel like doing" and crush all the records?
We think that to actually win the award of most expensive drink that you HAVE to drink it afterwards. Obviously it'd be harder to do, and nobody would just put themselves in danger like that for a few extra bucks!
