Elizabeth Vargas is getting the help she needs.
Last November, the ABC News correspondent checked into rehab for her alcohol addiction, now she's returning to a recovery center to continue the fight.
Elizabeth has had a history of substance abuse, which is why she checked into rehab last November to get help.
After going on vacation with her family at the beginning of August, the journalist decided to head back into rehab. The 20/20 co-anchor released a statement to the public regarding the issue.
"While on vacation this weekend, I decided to return to a recovery center. As so many other recovering alcoholics know, overcoming the disease can be a long and incredibly difficult process. I feel I have let myself, my co-workers and most importantly my family down, and for that I am ashamed and sorry. I am committed to battling and addressing this debilitating disease and want to thank everyone who has offered their unwavering support during this trying time."
Good for her!
It's difficult to admit to having a problem and we commend Elizabeth for taking matters into her own hands before it gets too far.
We support you all the way!
