It’s not every week you see a 13-year-old gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated. But Mo’ne Davis isn’t your average 13-year-old!

Last week, she became the first girl to ever throw a shutout game in the Little League World Series, waving her finger after each strikeout. Tonight, she’ll be back on the mound for her team, the Taney Dragons, pitching against Las Vegas in the semifinal match at Williamsport!

We don’t know what the final score will be but if we were to make a not so bold prediction, we’d say that after tonight's sixth and final inning, the world will have fallen in love with this baseball phenom all over again.

Her athletic prowess doesn’t end with her 70 mph fastball though. Mo’ne has one heck of a jump shot too! As in basketball.

Chyeah. She’s a bball superstar as well! In fact, she’s already so good on the hardwood, she’s setting her sights on playing for Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies someday!

Mo’ne has received a lot of attention this week from the media, most of whom remark on her being a girl playing against boys.

But that’s not what makes Mo’ne’s story so captivating. The reason we love Mo’ne Davis is because she’s an INCREDIBLE athlete for her age!

And one that is more than deserving of the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Go get ‘em, Mo’ne! We’ll be watching you tonight!

Women will never be equal if they constantly demand special attention for being a girl.

Re: NookiesWA – First of all this girl did not ask to be put on the cover of sports illustrated, and she is not the type to demand attention she doesn't like it.
