This 26-Year-Old Diagnosed With ALS Will Remind You Just How Important The Ice Bucket Challenge Is — Watch His Heartbreaking Message Here

Anthony Carbajal has a heartfelt message for any Ice Bucket Challenge skeptics out there!

Over the past few weeks, we've all seen tons of celebs and friends alike participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness and money for an ALS cure!

But even though the successful viral campaign has raised MILLIONS of dollars and is for a great cause, some people have had the audacity to complain about the videos flooding their Facebook feeds.

Well 26-year-old Anthony Carbajal decided to take the challenge himself and had a little bit of fun with it by having a super sexy slo-mo car wash before getting doused with some chilly H2O!

But after the music stops, he decided to get real and address some of the skeptics out there by revealing ALS actually runs in his family and that he too has been diagnosed. Not only does Anthony take care of his mother, but he says he is already starting to lose feeling in his hands.

He goes on to say how promising it is to see people FINALLY talking about this horrible disease, and he asks some of the skeptics out there to just be patient, saying:

"I promise, your news feed will go back to cat videos and Let It Go covers. But right now, the ALS community has the main spotlight."

We couldn't agree more!

So before you start ranting about how "useless" it is for people to dump water on their heads, remember all of the good this campaign is doing and all of those affected by ALS. Besides, you're Facebook feed will be back to normal in no time!

Watch the video (below) and skip to the 2:00 mark to hear Anthony's touching message.

Finally something that doesn't make me feel dirty watching on this site. This was very touching and I am glad I saw it. What a sweet man with a heart full of love.

People are only doing the challenge so that they don't have to donate. The right thing to do is to ACTUALLY DONATE! They need the money more than the publicity… and all the fame whores who do the challenge and post it on instagram instead of donating are jerks…

This is a great video to show a face to the disease. Another great one is by David Jayne. Please check his out. To see the many faces of ALS is just as important as watching these celebrities..

Re: Allyson S – some people are doing both…and the amount of awareness that has spread about ALS through this has increased the foundation's donation amount significantly. There are worse things in the world that people can be doing.

Thank you for doing this, Anthony, and personalizing ALS for all of us. It is a terrifying disease. My grandmother died of ALS and it was a horrible experience, not just for her but all her loves ones who had to care for her in ways no adult should have to be! I pray for an answer and help for this disease and I pray for all of those affected by it. Anthony states his mother and grandmother have/had ALS and now he does. I did not believe it was genetic and am praying that it isn't but it is frightening to think that myself or my children and so on in my family may one day be suffering with such a debilitating disease.

How about simply donating some money without flooding all social networks with those boring videos? All those celebrities are only doing it to promote themselves. Yeah, the videos are everywhere and everybody and their mother are talking about the videos and all the celebrities… but is anybody actually talking about ALS? I don't notice how this has "raised awareness" at all. People are doing it, because they want to part of the hype, that's all.
