It doesn't matter what you do today, you won't be having a worse day than Francisco Cervelli.
That's because the New York Yankees catcher took a foul ball to the left nut during a game against the Detroit Tigers last night.
Francisco immediately fell to the ground as Manager Joe Girardi and Assistant Athletic Trainer Mark Littlefield rushed the field to assess the injury.
The strangest part about the whole ordeal is that the commentators totally thought Francisco got hit in the clavicle at first, only to realize that, no, it was actually his groin.
It doesn't quite look like he's wearing a cup to us, but we're more than positive that a catcher who's been playing in the pros for almost six years would know better than that, so it must just suck getting hit in the balls by a baseball going 93 mph.
Who would have thought?
Miraculously, Francisco walked off the ball-to-the-ball and stayed in the game; which the Yankees won, 8-4.
Good on ya, Francisco!
Ch-ch-check out the nutty play and the aftermath (below)!
