Versace Campaign Starring Gigi Hadid & Karlie Kloss Under Fire For Racism & For Promoting Teen Pregnancy

Versace campaign called out for promoting teen pregnancy.

We had the same thought when we first wrote about this campaign!

Weeks after the photos were released, an accompanying video has also hit the web, featuring Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and several other models in Chicago.

The clip has reignited the debate that Gigi and Karlie, at 21 and 23, respectively, are too young to have families and children who look old enough to attend kindergarten.

Some have even called the campaign "Teen Mom: Versace Edition." Ouch.

But Donatella Versace has heard the criticism and hit back in defense of it, saying:

"My name is Versace—I don't know how to do things quietly. That is just my blood and my family. We make a noise, shout loud, never hold back on our opinions. This is why our campaigns have always been so bold, because my family has always provoked. Life would be so boring if we all did the same thing."

She also defended Gigi and Karlie but made no mention of their ages in regards to the children they're supposed to be mothering in the ads:

JCPenney Says 'Fat Girls Can Do Whatever They Want!' — See Their New Body-Positive Ad Campaign!

JCPenney is spreading some serious body positivity!

The department store's new ad campaign, Here I Am, features fierce females like Project Runway winner Ashley Nell Tipton, best-selling author Jes Baker, and even singer Mary Lambert, who was featured on Macklemore's pro-LGBT song Same Love.

All these lovely ladies opened up about how their size shouldn't define them in the company's newest promo, which is all about curve confidence!

Jes proudly exclaimed that all women are capable of anything, regardless of their size, saying:

"We're countering a lifetime of learned hatred. Fat girls can do whatever they want. I thought I couldn't wear a bikini and I can, and I love it."

The gorgeous gal also explained she's finally learning to accept herself:

"That's a pretty powerful thing for me, especially when you've been taught your entire life that you need to shrink or hide or disappear."

Mary echoed that sentiment, expressing:

"My size is not an indicator of my worth."

Absolutely!

Style blogger Gabi Fresh also appeared in the campagin, and said that being skinny wouldn't change who she is as a human being:

Another score for Selena Gomez!

The singer has just landed her first-ever major label campaign as the new face of Louis Vuitton. On top of that, creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere LOVES her!

So far there's only one shot of the 23-year-old holding up a small Louis trunk and wearing a faux fur hat big enough to smuggle several kilos of drugs in.

We're not in love with this first image, but we're sure there's a lot more coming that will make up for it.

And anyway, we're just glad Sel is making big moves in the fashion industry. She deserves it!

Ariana Grande and MAC have released their latest Viva Glam collaboration, and it's just candy-coated sugary goodness.

In fact, there's so much sweetness packed into it, it's giving us cavities!

Ari pouts adorably while trapped inside a tiny doll's room. See that little chandelier by her head? So cute.

Of course this will do nothing to keep people from thinking the Dangerous Woman singer is 12, but hey, we didn't come up with the concept.

Two new shades will be released in September, so make sure you mark that on your calendar!

The supermodel put her kickboxing skills to use for the latest Stuart Weitzman campaign.

Looking so photogenic while also showing that she could beat the crap out of anybody! LOLz!

The 21-year-old's athleticism actually inspired the brand to go in this direction for the latest ads, instead of just having her pose naked again.

A spokesperson said:

"The campaign captures her power, agility and gracefulness with vigorous energy. In the world of Stuart Weitzman, 'sexy' means being comfortable and confident in your own skin, and the [photos] capture that essence."

We love it!

Gigi herself has a soft spot for the label's over-the-knee boots:

"The over-the-knee silhouette has become so popular. What I personally love about it is that you can wear [Stuart's] low-heel version and it still makes your leg look long, unlike other pairs of flat shoes. I've worn it with miniskirts, over jeans."

And now that we've seen what she can do in them, she should totally play a superhero in a movie — they're always in boots!
