Awww, Cory couldn't have kicked this bad habit at rehab too? Ah well, we guess it's all about choosing your battles!
Cory Monteith was spotted walking out of the Lions club in West Hollywood Thursday with a pack of smokes in hand (above)… and no, ladylove Lea Michele was NOT in attendance.
Perhaps she was off celebrating the announcement of Glee season 5's creative twist!
We've been driving ourselves MAD with speculation since hearing that the next season of Glee has major format changes, especially because neither Ryan Murphy nor the Gleeks were spilling any deets!
But HUZZAH! FOX chairman Kevin Reilly recently revealed what this mysterious "creative twist" entails!

Cory Monteith got to celebrate his 31st birthday OUT of rehab on Saturday, with sexy girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele by his side!
The happy couple shimmied down in a private WeHo club — Lea donning a strapless gray bustier and black pencil skirt (so very sexy secretary) and Cory styled in a classic black suit.
Lea made sure the Twitterverse knew of his birthday, as she lovingly tweeted:
We’re sure this is a much needed vacation!
And we couldn’t be happier to see these two together and looking wonderfully healthy!
Lea Michele revealed just days ago on Twitter that she’s escaping to somewhere wonderful, and it looks like the location of choice was Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with her honey.
She was spotted taking a break with her hunk of burning love Cory Monteith who certainly needs a little peace and relaxation after a stint in rehab.
And the rest looks like it's been doing him well!
The Glee cuties grabbed lunch on the beach…as if they could get any more adorbzies!
We're not surprised these lovebirds are weathering the hard times just fine!

The Glee hottie and his ladylove Lea Michele were spotted catching a departing flight out of Vancouver Saturday after spending a week or so in Canada visiting Cory's family and doing fun sh*t like watching dudes slap each other with hockey sticks.
The pair looked very much content, and even though Lea was bowing her head to seemingly avoid camera attention, she's still got a sweet smile on her face.
Aww!
She must be SO happy to have Cory back from treatment!

All is well in the world again!
Cory Monteith has been freed from rehab, which means he and Lea Michele are back to being attached at the hip and madly in love.
Our worries that addiction would tear Lea and Cory apart have been put to rest!
Not only were the twosome spotted dining with Mama Monteith recently, but yesterday they were seen AGAIN being preciously passionate cheering on Cory's fave hockey team, the Canucks, as they lost a battle on the ice against the Sharks in Vancouver.
While the road to recovery is NEVER easy, we're sure Lea is making the ride a LOT smoother.
And there's no place quite like home to find comfort away from the spotlight, especially when it's in the company of such a beauty as Lea!
Now about that baby-making business…

The Glee star was spotted in Victoria, British Columbia yesterday grabbing some coffee with his mama and ladylove Lea Michele. The trio also dined at Barb’s Fish & Chips Floating Seafood restaurant for some good ol' fried fish. YUM!
