'You Make Me Proud Of My Country Again': George Clooney Writes Moving Letter To Parkland Students

On the eve of the March For Our Lives protest against gun violence, George Clooney is giving students one last bit of advice.

The Ocean's 11 star, who donated an amazing $500,000 to the march already, was asked by Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students for an interview.

See, Emma Dowd, Lauren Newman, and Rebecca Schneid, who edit the school newspaper, The Eagle Eye, were given the opportunity to guest edit The Guardian to cover the protest.

They asked George to give them an interview (they got ones with Bernie Sanders and Marco Rubio), but he told them while he and Amal Clooney will be marching in support, he doesn't feel it's right for adults to take the stage anymore.

Where do we sign up to be best friends with George Clooney?

During a recent episode of MSNBC's Headliners, the 56-year-old actor's best friend Rande Gerber revealed that back in 2013 George paid 14 of his closest pals' taxes for the year AND gave them each ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Lolwut.

Gerber (who co-owned Casamigos Tequila with Clooney) dished:

"There's a group of guys that we call ‘The Boys.' George had called me and ‘The Boys' and said, ‘Hey, mark September 27, 2013 on your calendar. Everyone's going to come to my house for dinner."

When the guests arrived, they found black suitcases under their chairs with special messages of appreciation for helping George at the beginning of his career.
