Keith Urban had a bittersweet tour of his new Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit on Wednesday.
While surrounded by all of his accomplishments, Nicole Kidman's husband couldn't help but credit his father — who he revealed is under hospice care — for inspiring his love of country music.

The 48-year-old Somebody Like You singer shared the emotional news with The Tennessean:
"He's probably only got a few weeks, if that. I've just been dealing with that the last couple of days. This has all come at a very strange time where it's typical of a career that has extreme highs and extreme lows all often at the exact same time. So [the exhibit] is bittersweet a little bit because [my dad] is the catalyst for all of this. My dad is the catalyst for me living in America."
We can imagine that's incredibly difficult.
The father of two remembered going to the record store as a kid with his dad who insisted on buying a Don Williams album, just because he knew it would be good:
"I remember saying to my dad, 'Oh, what's the single off this album?' And he said, 'I don't know. I haven't heard anything off it.' And I said, 'Well, how do you know it's going to be good?' And he said, 'It's Don Williams.' And it hit me in such a way that I thought, 'Oh, I'd love to make records where people know it's going to be solid and they go out and get it.' So I want to thank them for starting me on this journey."
We're sure his dad is very proud of Urban's own legacy in the country music world!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Urban and his family during this time.
