We’re just a week away from The Vampire Diaries’ finale, but as the seniors at Mystic Falls High School gear up for the end of pre-college life, there are just too many other things worrying the town’s vampires!

Ghosts, Silas, the cure, oh my! Not to mention the fact that Bonnie (Kat Graham) is — SPOILER ALERT!!! –now dead!!

Yes, that’s right. Bonnie. Is. Dead. Poor thing thought she could defeat Silas AND bring back her lost loved ones — no such luck!

We’re still reeling over this totes sadsies split…

…so much so we’ve only just now realized we’re not even sure WHY Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev split up!

What could have possibly gone wrong? They’re both drop dead gorgeous, they don’t have to be apart all the time since they’re on Vampire Diaries together, and they seem like total sweethearts!

But maybe, just maybe, one of them isn’t who we think!

Say whaaat?!?!

Well, the studly vampire of our dreams revealed a possible reason for the break up on…you guessed it…Twitter! He tweeted:

Excuse us while we continue to mourn this tragic loss.

In the ocean of relationship doom that is Hollywood, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were NOWHERE on our radar of celebrity break-ups.

When the real-life couple from The Vampire Diaries announced their split, our world crumbled from beneath us.

The only thing keeping us together is the fact that Ian's a single man now, and could therefore possibly be ours (only in our fantasies unfortunately, seeing as how he's all about the lady parts).

Still, even if our dreams are stronger with him going solo, we actually really liked him with Nina! They were so perfect, so lovable, soo.. OMG THIS IS TOO MUCH TO BEAR! Sniff..

Vampire Diaries costars and real life lovers Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have reportedly called it QUITS on their three year relationship!

One alleged insider reveals:

"[Nina and Ian are] consummate professionals [and] will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started."

Sniff! We really believed Nian would be a forever love…

But hey, it obviously wasn't working and we guess it's better to sever ties than to cling to false hope!

The cast of The Vampire Diaries is lookin’ all kinds of HAWT in the newly released Season 4 finale poster!! Donning a serious amount of black, there’s no messin’ around here! What’s more? The poster’s an open — and eerie — invitation:

“You’re invited to the Graduation. Dead or Alive.”

Nina Dobrev got a 2-for-1 deal!

The Vampire Diaries actress stunned in her lace Monique Lhuillier dress at the Met Gala on Monday night, and instead of getting a whole new outfit for the after party, she just removed her skirt.

Et voilà! The lace jumpsuit underneath served as the perfect party ensem!

Genius!

And check out the expression on the guy behind her — he's loving it, too! Ha!
